about home

We are all born somewhere, grow up somewhere. Maybe strongly rooted in this place, elsewhere or nowhere. What makes you feel “at home” in a particular place? How can one feel at home somewhere (again)? Can we have many homes at the same time? These and other questions are the subject of the parlour game “about home”. And everyone is invited to join in. 

“about home” is a discursive intervention and a dialogical feat that can only be achieved together –  and an invitation to listen and to expand one’s own images about home(s). 

In the first round, you have the opportunity to invite a duo from the artistic team of “about home” to a game session at your home, your own club or circle of friends, your company or neighbourhood. After sev­eral rounds the audience takes seat at the tables of the two final tavern salons and the closing gala, where new players will also be welcome. There, in addition to the game boards, selected culinary delicacies and artistically prepared stories about being at home will be served. 

It is also possible to simply get to know each other or to delve deeper at monthly meetings for regulars, by browsing through the growing online story collection or by listening to the podcast.
